What is Komorebi?
A camera app for people who enjoy intentional photography. It combines capture, manual controls, LUTs and a built-in gallery, with photos and preferences stored on your device.
Which devices are compatible?
Komorebi requires iOS 18 or Android 8. Full manual controls, RAW/ProRAW, Live Photo, portrait, Camera Control, widgets and shortcuts depend on iOS and device support. HEIF+, Image Stacking, Photographic Styles and gallery depth generation also require iOS; quality and performance vary by lens and need physical-device validation.
Can I use my own LUTs?
Yes. In addition to the eight included LUTs, you can import .cube files in settings. Custom LUTs stay saved on your device, ready for your next photos.
Do my photos stay on my device?
Yes. Photos, preferences, custom LUTs and depth generation stay on the device. Weather, maps and EXIF Frame use external services. Usage sharing with PostHog and diagnostics sharing with Sentry starts enabled and can be disabled during beta onboarding or in Settings → About and support. These integrations do not send photos or location; recording GPS in photos is optional.
Where can I download the app?
Komorebi is in active development. The waitlist is for iPhone: register your email to receive a future invitation. Your email will only be used for that invitation.
