Gallery and projects

Organize albums, rate and share photos in batches, and view EXIF, maps and depth.

SupportedReviewed on October 16, 2026

Prerequisites

  • Media library permission
  • Location in EXIF to use the map
  • Internet to load maps and the EXIF Frame service

Album and projects

Without an active project, photos are saved in the Komorebi album. Projects use albums prefixed with Komorebi followed by the chosen name. The app reconciles the local project list with available albums.

  • Create a project in settings or the corresponding selector.
  • Select the project before shooting to direct new captures to it.
  • Moving or deleting projects changes local organization; confirm the effect on photos before completing the action.

EXIF and maps

The gallery reads technical metadata, displays Komorebi badges and shows a photo full screen. When an image contains coordinates, the map loads OpenStreetMap tiles centered on that location, using Leaflet in the WebView.

  • Check and remove GPS before sharing sensitive images.
  • Deletion only happens after an action you take.
  • Metadata may vary by format and operating system.

Rate, share and deleteNew

Open a photo and tap Information to view EXIF and location, organize projects, rate and share. Under Create and edit, expand Blur or Photographic Styles to see its options; only one of these features expands at a time.

In the grid, tap Select or press and hold a thumbnail. Mark photos to Rate, Share or Delete. Changing projects or leaving ends the selection.

  • Rating applies the same score to the batch. The crossed-out star removes the rating; canceling keeps saved scores and leaves pending items selected.
  • Sharing opens a native sheet for all prepared images. On iOS, it exports the current representation, including edits; Live Photos are shared as still images. Files stored only in iCloud may need downloading.
  • If an image cannot be prepared, the batch is not partially shared.
  • Deleting requires confirmation and removes photos from the library and all albums, including outside the active project.
  • Depth is an individual action and does not appear in batch actions.

EXIF Frame

The generator opens an external service in a WebView. When using it, the image and metadata may be sent to or injected into the site to build the frame. Do not use sensitive photos without reviewing the displayed data.
